A member asked:

Chronic subdural hematoma. 2nd ct showed no enlargement. main symptom, head pressure -comes & goes. is this common? anything i can take to help healing process or reduce the hematoma? is the pressure a normal feature of recovery and for how long?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely normal: If the CT shows no enlargement that is a very good sign. Hematoma is blood near the brain which will definitely cause abnormal pressure that can be felt as head pressure. Acetaminophen should be safe to take for the pressure but not much that speeds healing. but avoid aspirin/ibuprofen/naproxen which could possible cause more bleeding
