How accurate is an igg herpes blood test after 4 weeks, 6 weeks, and 8 weeks? i had a risky sexual encounter just over 8 weeks ago. i have tested negative via igg blood tests at each of these time periods. are these conclusive? additional testing?

It can take up to 12 or even 16 weeks for HSV blood tests to become positive; and some infections never result in positive test results. Partly for those reasons, testing for HSV generally is not recommended after risky encounters, unless there are symptoms that suggesting new herpes. However, with no symptoms plus these negative results, it is very unlikely you acquired herpes.
