Ignore the IgM test: The HSV IgM antibody tests are notoriously unreliable and inaccurate. Herpes and STD experts never request it and we always ignore the results. Your IgG results are the important ones and are quite reliable in showing you did not catch HSV2 in December. It can take up to 4 months for IgG antibody, so have another test in mid-April. But no more IgM; and try not to worry. IgG probably will stay neg.
