A member asked:

Can a complete blood count detect spleen enlargement?

No. Blood cell count cannot confirm or exclude enlarged spleen. An ultrasound examination could ascertain the size of spleen without radiation or invasive procedure.

Different tests. Spleen enlargement can only be assessed with imaging studies. Once determined if enlarged or not trying to correlate with blood counts may help in establishing a diagnosis.
