Yes, and also...: To help the tummy look flatter, one can do exercises to build very strong abdominal muscles. It will take a lot of work, and will burn off calories. One must not eat more calories than he burns off, or he cannot lose weight. Helpful weight loss foods are natural foods that take time to chew but contain few calories. Examples include carrots, celery and leafy green lettuce (without salad dressing).

No local fat control: Unfortunately running will not target localized fat control or loss especially the stomach following pregnancy in which fat is only part of the problem. Separated muscles and lax skin are the real problems followi g pregnancy. Pilates and core strengthening are more likely to produce localized contour improvements.

Tummy fat: Running is a great way to reduce fat from all over your body. Although ab exercises will build up your muscles in this area, they will not selectively reduce the fat in front of them. A tummy tuck would be beneficial if there is a significant amount of excess skin (pregnancy or weight changes) as this generally does not respond to diet or exercise.

Yes: Running may be an excellent way to help you achieve your goals. The combination of healthy eating, “cardio” workout, weightlifting, and flexibility exercises may all be useful. Of course, for specific advice check with doctors who know you best. Best wishes.

Diet and exercise: Diet and exercise are excellent for loosing fat. They do not tighten skin or remove stretch marks, though.

Spot fat loss does : Not occur naturally. By losing weight in general a certain amt will be abdominal fat. Eat healthfully ; be physically active. Calories burned must > calories consumed. To tighten ab's do crunches, reverse crunches, exercise ball crunches, pelvic thrusts, lying leg raises, side bridge ; “bicycling” exercise on your back. Get regular aerobic exercise. Running is a great form of exercise.
