Gastroenteritis is caused by an infection in the intestines/stomach. Virus can enter with food or drinks and causes discomfort for 3-7 days. Make sure you are drinking lots of water and electrolyte solutions (frequent small sips if necessary), as well as eating BRAT (bananas, rice, apples, toast/crackers) foods (small bites) because it will help your body heal faster. Avoid Antidiarrheal meds.
