Worried uncle here. is it possible to transmit syphilis through saliva? or through an innocent kiss on the cheek. or in a situation when my nephew could touch my lips with his hand. there were no sores or rashes on them?

Syphilis transmission is not likely in above scenario. Check cdc.gov for details on syphilis transmission. Get treatment if not treated already.
