A given follicle may grow to "13-14 mm" under the stimulation of pituitary hormones (FSH) but not rupture at ovulation, especially at age "42", when eggs age and more FSH production stimulates follicles but ovulation may not occur. Ask yur GYN physician about low dose oral bcp's, which stop ovarian estrogen, and inhibit FSH from the pituitary.
