A member asked:

Got some abrasions on my knees on oct. 10th from the road, but had long pants on so they never came into contact with the road. how likely would it be for tetanus to show up almost a month later once the abrasions are all healed up?

What you described is not a high risk circumstance. If you had tetanus vaccination more than 10 years ago, it would be prudent to get a booster dose. Wish you good health!

Tetanus is not likely in such circumstances, however superficial infections remain possible and wounds/ abrasions should be watched tightly until healed.
