Having severe back pain & some chest pressure. saw the dr & asked about pulmonary embolism (i have anxiety). had a chest xray. can this be seen on an xray? if one was present would something indicate for further testing from xray? good bp & pulse ox?

No, CXR does not detect pulmonary embolism (PE). Good pulse ox (SpO2) does not rule out mild pulmonary embolism because you have to have significant low oxygen in your blood (hypoxemia) before oxygen saturation (SpO2) drops. Chest pain and high respiratory rate, rather than chest pressure, are common symptoms of PE. If you are fine now, PE is almost ruled out.
