Chronic cough: Chronic cough has many different causes. The most common three would be allergic rhinitis, asthma, and gastroesophageal reflux of stomach contents. Antibiotics and cough syrup will take care of most acute causes (bronchitis, sinus infection) but after two months, your dry cough may be from chronic causes. You should see your doctor for further evaluation if you are not better after treatment.

Possibilities...: It is unlikely to be due to infection since it has been present for 2 months. Possible etiologies include bronchospasm from any cause, gerd, post-nasal drip or a combination of factors. See your doctor for evaluation and treatment.
