Child's Cough: Did he have his DPT vaccination? You don't want to miss pertussis. If you are in a dry climate, a humidifier may help. Does he have a feber? Is he active or sleepy? If active and no fever, that is a good sign. Since kids have small airways, coughs can persist for weeks, but if the right antibiotic was chosen and he is up and active, he should improve. If not, call the pediatrician.
