The problem is the alcohol use that can worsen some of the symptoms assigned to allergies for which you have to take meds, such as Benadryl. You can take Benadryl providing you are recognizing and assigning your symptoms properly, keeping alcohol use at a minimum until symptoms improve is recommended.

You may take Benadryl, however, Alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, so stay away from it. It will destroy your brain cells, facilitate development of cancer in many organs, including breast, cause hepatitis, cirrhosis and pancreatitis etc. There is no safe level of alcohol intake. Quit while you are ahead.
