A member asked:

Can you get hot flashes after eating or drinking coffee? i turn all red sometimes, im 57, dont have a uterus. i take benadryl, have food allergies.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Coffee and certain foods, especially hot or warm ones can certainly cause hot flashes. Avoidance of foods that cause the hot flashes can help. Regular exercise, possibly one gentle on the joints like swimming, yoga, walking can help decrease frequency of hot flashes as well.
