Effect of weather?: Good afternoon, at this time, in most parts of usa, changes in temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure affects the changes in the blood vessels and glands of the nasal passage, causing rhinal blockage and pressure changes in the sinus cavities. This is the low allergy season for pollen and molds. Dryness can be reduced by use of humidifiers as well as lowering the temperature of the room.

Nasal steroid sprays: The most effective treatment for nasal allergies are nasal steroid sprays such as flonase, qnasl, nasonex, (mometasone) veramyst, etc. These are safe and effective, but a person needs a prescription from their doctor.
