When focusing on something, like reading/drawing, sometimes my eyes will flicker/shake back and forth for only a second. it's never lasted longer than that, and only when i'm focusing on something closely. i'm nearsighted if that matters?

If your vision is stable and you are able to carry out your usual activities, you may watch and wait. If it worsens, consult an ophthalmologist, otherwise, mention it to your doctor at the next opportunity.
