Do exercises cause retinal detachment for high myopic and floaters? i do many neck streching exercises like crunches, pushups, shaking head. is there any harm for eyes as i have heard that anyone who have floaters should not do heavy exercise?

The exercise that are to be avoided are running, jumping, hopping and anything related to contact sports. Crunches, pushups, pullups and the like are not likely to cause retinal detachment. Talk to your regular Dr for more detailed instructions and restrictions.

Exercises as described above do not cause a retinal detachment of themselves, but if there is a retinal hole, a detachment can progress with such exercises. I suggest that you have a dilated exam.
