Tiny Heart Attack?: Rec: Be very wary of nuclear "data". An EF of 75% is ~optimal healthy & (though possible) contradictory to interp. Reversible defect refers to a nuclear scan “interpretation”; an area at LV apex “judged” to have ↓ed blood flow; “myocardium at risk” means risk for dying; heart attack. When blood supply is ↓ed enough to detect on a nuclear scan, arterial disease is typically very advanced & EF ↓↓.

Nuclear study: An ef of 75% with a nuclear stress test is on the hyperdynamic end but likely normal. Ef is basically the heart pump function which is normally between 55-65%. A small apical reversible defect means that the tip or apex of the heart is not getting blood flow during the stress portion of the test, & the area affected is small at rest it reverses back to normal.
