A member asked:

In conjunctivitis: how long should antibiotic eye drops be paused before a conjunctival swab in order to get an accurate result? with me it was 36h - was that enough?

Typically, the conjunctival swab is done first, then treatment is prescribed. If you were using antibiotic drops and finished the prescribed course, and your Dr wants to retest to see if there is any continued infection, it will depend on the antibiotic. Each antibiotic has a unique tissue duration (the time it takes to be undetectible in the ocular tissue) Check packaging materials.
