Ive been told that i have normal lymph nodes because my nodes are 1/2 an inch and havent changed in over 2 years. ive been told that normal means benign but benign would mean i have a non harmful infection within my node or my body?

The only way I know is to ask the Dr who examined you what is meant by benign.

Ive been told I have reactive lymph nodes. I have 1/2 an inch lymph nodes in my submandibular, cervical and submental areas. I have no infection and theyve never changed. Ive had them all for 2 years too. Could this be just reactive lymph nodes?
Are 1/2 inch benign lymph nodes considered to be swollen? And can reactive lymph nodes remain feelable 2 years after infection as 1/2 pea sized lumps with no change? And would 1/2 inch reactive lymph nodes be considered enlarged too?
