Hello! my great uncle had hcm but not the thickening of the septum. im just super anxious lately thinking about if i somehow got the gene. how likely is that? i have no symptoms and work out vigorously with no problem. i do seem to be hypochondriac?

Never use abbreviations in medicine. It can be deadly. Discuss with your Dr. If echo normal then no worries. Ask what was the cause in your uncle?
