Osteonecrosis of the jaw is a relatively rare side effect of all antiresorptive medications and reclast is one of them. If you really need to have one of these medications and you are afraid of this side effect, you should see a dentist or oral surgeon and have your jaws checked to make sure your jaw bones are intact. If you are cleared, you can receive the drug. Again, it is a rare side effect.
