I'm confused about air embolia witch patients can get from unprimed iv infusions in hospital.some doctors says it will happen immediately and some not?

Although it is: possible to inject some air bubbles and perhaps a significant amount of air if the entire tubing is unprimed, this is an unlikely event all the same. It would take a considerable volume of air to compromise cardiac function and the adverse event would be evident very quickly.
