Veneers are cemented onto your natural teeth. The veneer and the cement protects the surface that it covers. You'll be able to floss between the teeth and brush the lingual surfaces of the restored teeth to keep those areas clean.

Veneers require preparation (grinding) of the front surface of each tooth. Then the egg shell thin veneer is cemented onto the tooth, and the cement fills all of the microscopic space behind the veneer. Your job is to then clean all of the enamel that is not covered by the prosthesis. Daily flossing is imperative. An alternative solution might be to straighten your teeth. See an Orthodontist.
