My wife hemoglobin is 6.5 g/dl is this too low doc has given her medication and injection can she carry her job as a teacher or take a leave?

This is severe anemia&at this low level,it is difficult to carry out activities of daily living, let alone job responsibilities. Hopefully her anemia has been caused by heavy blood loss from menstrual periods rather than a serious bone marrow disease. I think she needs an accurate diagnosis&after appropriate blood tests are drawn, I recommend transfusions of packed red blood cells to Hgb of 9or10

She should take oral iron and multivitamin supplements to address iron deficiency. It would be prudent to see a doctor to rule out excessive menstrual blood loss. She may keep working if she is able to.
