I assume you feel no lumps in the buttock or history of trauma there. At your age I would expect ischial bursitis as a cause. A physician or orthopedic surgeon can validate this diagnosis. Anti-inflammatory meds like advil or naproxen should help as well as avoiding pressure from hard surfaces on the buttock or any stress on the buttocks. Sit on a soft cushion while driving,etc..
