How does methylprednisolone work for posterior tibial tendinitis?

Steroids have a non-specific membrane stabilizing/anti-inflammatory effect. The medication mimics those made naturally by the body that work this way. Used as part of a program of rest, activity and good nutrition their use is helpful to most.

Methylprednisolone is a strong anti inflammatory steroid medication. I might have tried Aleve or Advil first. I am concern the cause has not been addressed because reoccurrence is very likely. Cause is usually over pronation. This needs to be addressed according to your needs with shoes , supports or custom orthotics made by a podiatrist. If serious about running see a sports medicine podiatrist
