I was just diagnosed with eoe and they want me on the corticosteroid, budesodine. i dont want to be since i realize the side effects and long term danger. what other alternatives do i have?

Is dietary treatment an option in your case? PPI meds like nexium or H2 blockers like pepcid may help. Some specialists are using monoclonal antibody treatment. I wouldn't worry about topical budesodine treatment for only a couple of months. Perhaps you'd like a 2nd opinion at a university hospital dept of gastroenterology.
