There are many known side effects of long term steroids, diabetes and osteoporosis to name couple of most common ones. Prophylactic antibiotics are usually needed as well in the long range. Best would be to connect with both your current prescriber and primary care doc in order to have a plan for both your EoE and possible complications to current treatment.
