It is stated that the hiv antibody test for hiv using the 3rd generation test should be performed at 3 months to be conclusive. My advice is for you to consult a physician experienced in hiv testing to get the best advice as to when you should be tested and by which test according to your type of possible exposure.

Hello what is the accurate window period to rule out hiv? Is it 6 weeks 3 months or 6 months? I have been told all three and Im really confused and concerned I tested negative at Dr at 6 months! But do I need to test more later or what Im confused?
Confused. Took 4th gen ag/ab rapid test at 30 days at clinic. Was negative. Counselor said conclusive at 28 days, no need to retest, and my exposure was low risk. But I see different window periods online. Do I retest? Or listen to testing site?
