My hematologist wants me to have a b12 injection because i have a deficient level in b12. are there any side effects to a b12 injection?

They are uncomfortable. Beyond that, I see no problems with regular use as part of a treatment program directed by a physician.

Side effects are mild diarrhea, vomiting, headache, itching, dizziness, skin rash and nausea. In early treatment, possible pulmonary edema and congestive heart failure.

Side effects are usually limited to local discomfort. Talk to your doctor about taking sub-lingual form of B12, if that works, it will obviate the need for injections. Wish you good health!
