If T3, T4 and TSH are normal, thyroid function is normal and T3 uptake result has no value. High T3 uptake only means the binding of T3 or T4 to thyroid binding globulin is high and this uptake was used in the past to interpret the result of total T4 when we couldn't measure free T4 but we now can, so T3 uptake test has no value. Low cortisol may increase thyroid hormone by increasing TSH level.
