A member asked:

I have been having constant myoclonic jerks in one extremity (no periods of improvement). brain mri and eeg have been clear. had emg but it was done prior to onset for neuropathy. should i seek another opinion, or is it likely a functional diagnosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, get a second opinion, as not clear regarding etiology. If true myoclonic activity, several anti-epileptic drugs could control. Make sure that an evaluation of the neck has been done.
