Not much else: If your pain is generalized and does not fit a specific nerve pattern, then a MRI likely will not provide any additional benefit may even cause more confusion. They could do a small fiber biopsy to see if you have a small fiber neuropathy. EMG testing looks at large fiber nerves. Unfortunately we often do not find a source of neuropathy.

Venous disease: In a female of your age (especially if you have had children) with leg pain you should always consider superficial venous disease. It can have very atypical presentations. I have a large amount of referrals from doctors that have ruled everything else out. An MRI will not likely show anything.
