A member asked:

Recently diagnosed with pvcs (2% burden) and had normal echo months after feeling skipped beats and intermittent left side sharp chest pain. what are the chances of going into cardiac arrest? do i need more tests?

We consider 10% significant. More info about the PVC's would be helpful. Are they singles, couplets, runs, multiform, early after the T wave? Does your 12 lead EKG show a prolonged QTc interval? Do you have a family history of sudden death, fainting episodes? Have you had a treadmill stress test? Are the PVC's symptomatic? Structurally normal heart is reassuring.
