A member asked:

I have a complicated cyst in l breast after having calcificated tissue removed in r breast because "it's the stuff that turns into cancer". i've been told we will just look at it again in a year. do i need a second opinion?

Suggest a referral to a surgeon specializing in breast surgery, as at "52" the potential for malignancy needs to be ruled out, especially with a "complicated" left breast cyst. "Calcified tissue" is common in breasts, but the pattern is usually a group of small calcifications which is more serious than a few scattered calcified spots in the breast.
