Age 27. life has been so busy and hectic that i have not been prioritizing sleep (roughly 6 hours a night) for as long as can remember. starting to feel like i have brain fog. would prioritizing sleep be a simple way to start working to solve this?

Absolutely, sleep is critical to keep a clear mind. If things do not improve after lifestyle changes and allowing for 7-8 h of night sleep, seeing your physician will be next as other possible causes cannot be ruled out for brain fog.

Agree with Dr. P. Get more sleep. Try to find time to exercise. Optimum would be 150/week. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
