I was put on doxycycline for possible respiratory bronchitis, x-ray was clear, because i had deep coughing, i finished the medicine 2 weeks ago and still coughing. what else could it be?

Coughing after "possible bronchitis" often continues for weeks, usually without obvious cause. It could be allergic. The important thing is to not keep trying antibiotics; if doxy didn't help, others also are not likely to be of benefit. Keep working with your doctor.
