A member asked:

Can an echocardiogram pick up, and diagnose a thrombosis of the right coronary artery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

EKG's detect alteration in the electrical activity of the heart. They can suggest injury to an area of the heart. However, occlusion/thrombosis of any blood vessel is based on an imaging study. This may be a heart cath or radionucleotide scan.
