Echo: Indirect evidence of coronary artery disease if acute can be guessed by looking at wall motion abnormalities. This obviously is not the modality used to diagnose cad.

Yes and No: The consequences of coronary disease - poorly functioning heart muscle - can be seen on echocardiogram. The actual vessels, though, cannot be assessed for blockages with this tool.
