Ultrasound report during normal check-up: fatty infiltration of liver, others were normal. the lft is also normal. the dr. has only asked me to lose weight (i'm overweight) and non-alcoholic. seeking a second opinion here, do i need a fibroscan?

It is not absolutely indicated because the result does not change the treatment plan (weight reduction + optimal lipid panel + alcohol abstinence). However, if you want to make sure you do not have liver fibrosis, fibroscan can be done.
