A member asked:

I had a spinal tap and one of the reports said, nucleated cell count too low. i am being tested for ms and alzheimer's and so others?

Those few red blood cells sound insignificant and could be caused by trauma from the spinal tap. The spinal fluid in MS is usually normal. In Alzheimer's there may be elevated protein levels. Your neurologist can advise you best.

Your post is somewhat confusing, as it is not clear as to what symptoms prompted the spinal tap. "Nucleated cell count too low" is also not clear in spinal fluid analysis report. This all needs further clarification in order for us to help. Maybe best to address this via a virtual consult (www.connect@healthtap.com)
