When i close one eye the eyelid of the closed eye twitches. this happens on both sides. it actually happens when both eyes are closed too. what could cause this? should i be concerned? i have pretty bad dry eye and eyes so irritated?

Being nervous could cause that in some people, and mineral imbalance may also do that. In view of other problems with your eyes it may be best to see a professional to examine your eyes; though loss of sight may not happen with twitchy eyes it is still important to get your eyes checked and probably use artificial tears.

Suspect that you are susceptible to orbital myokymia and your trigger might be dry eyes with irritation. See ophthalmologist and consider testing for Sjogrens Syndrome
