Sometimes -yes.. Healing means the symptoms you had will gradually go away and the swelling/redness will fade away. It takes 7-10 days.

Yeast and other fungal infections of the penis usually respond to standard treatments within a few days. Other skin conditions of the penis can cause similar symptoms. If not improving after a week or so, it's time to see a doctor, ideally a dermatologist. Good luck.
