It could be benign and transient but caution requires that one checks this out with the PCP or the Company Clinic Doctor as it might be the beginning of an Occupational Hazard that could become a life time issue. At 18 years one must be cognizant of these issues.

This could involve jaw or neck, perhaps both, but emerging scalenous anticus syndrome seems more likely. Use of arms over head might make this worse. See an occupational physician
