A member asked:

Why would l be vit d deficient despite taking supplements for approx 3yrs? also is there another nutrient that l could check that would confirm that it is not a problem with my small intestine/ileum?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In case your vitamin D deficiency is a side effect of fat malabsorption, you would also be deficient in Vitamin A. If you have lost weight, it would be prudent to see a doctor.
