Lymph nodes are located throughout the body, generally noticeable in exposed areas like the neck. They are usually pea sized at rest and enlarged when stimulated by bug bites, dermatitis, drainage or infection. They usually return to resting size in 4-6 wks unless stimulation remains. They rarely can become damaged by infection; grow to golf ball size; need drainage or removal.

You can watch and wait. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
