A member asked:

What blood test should be ordered to diagnose pheochromocytoma and is it enough without doing a urine test?

An other screening test for pheochromocytoma is plasma levels of metanephrines. Visit this site for info: https://www.uhs.nhs.uk/Media/UHS-website-2019/Patientinformation/Tests/Plasma-metanephrine-test-patient-information.pdf

The lab in your area and your Dr will be best to suggest this. But remember a 24 hr urine is more useful as it intergrates spikes in pheo hormones. Some tests may require you to not eat some things and not take certain medicines. So ask the lab.
