Cough may be related with your current viral infection (sinus and ear) rather than a side effect of dexamethasone but I could not rule it out. You should continue to take dexamethasone and observe the cough. If cough exacerbates within 2 hours after taking it, I will probably hold dexamethasone and contact your doctor.
