A member asked:

If i took an ativan at 8 am this morning to help sleep, can i take hydroxyzine around 6 am the following morning ( 22 hours later) to help with sleep? ativan didn't help me and i'm nervous taking benzo medication and feel much safer with hydroxyzine?

No sleeping aids are safe in the long run and you are perfectly right if staying away from Ativan. Lifestyle changes are best and if applicable, changing your job/shift as sleeping disorders are common in night shift workers. There should be no issue in trying the hydroxyzine 22 h after ativan otherwise.
